Compared to last week, steers and heifers under 700 lbs sold 10.00 to 20.00 higher, over 700 lbs sold fully steady. Demand was very good for all classes of calves and feeder cattle. Prices continue to sell well above last year's sales. The sharply higher prices are good for the producers as everything cost dollars more than previous years. Winter feed cost might have eaten up some of the profit on the feeders and slaughter steers and heifers. Onward the livestock owner goes to the next turn of cattle. Feedlot sales sold steady to 2.00 higher on dressed sales from 280.00 to 282.00 and live sales sold 2.00 higher at 178.00. Most advance was on Friday as some packers were short bought going forward.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
