Compared to last week steers unevenly steady and heifers sold steady. Bred cows and cow/calf pairs sold fully steady. Demand was good for all offerings. Light rain showers across some of the state the end of the week brightened moods of most people. Especially the ones in the agriculture business. Now if the state doesn't get a late frost grass should green up and grow. Most counties continue to very dry and several inches of moisture behind for a normal year. Hopefully, the rains will continue. Quite a lot of corn and beans are in the ground with planting ahead of last year. Nebraska feedlots traded live sales 2.00 to 3.00 lower from 175.00 to 178.00 and dressed sales 2.00 to 5.00 lower at 281.00.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
