Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers and heifers 10.00 to 20.00 higher. Very good demand for all weights of steers and heifers as the cattle futures complex has made large gains over the last two weeks. With the hopes of 250.00 fat cattle being attainable, cattle producers are feeling very optimistic again and willing to chase the market to buy cattle. Many heifers weighing 700 to 800 lbs continue to go back to the country to make a replacement heifer. With the recent moisture received across the state the grazing season looks to have a good start, which is helping to bolster the market for grass cattle and replacement heifers as well.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
