North Dakota Weekly Cattle Auction Summary

Compared to last week: Only 1 reported auction this week as auction receipts very light as the marketing season winds down, not enough offered to make a comparison to last week. Very good demand remains for all weights of steers and heifers, but with turnout time upon us the best demand is for cattle to run as yearlings on grass. The cash fed cattle market was lower again, and the summer months of the Live Cattle contract are 13.00-16.00 under the cash trade which is putting pressure on the feeder market.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
