First release of this report for the fall marketing season, no recent price comparisons to be made. Very good demand for yearling steers and heifers as cattle feeders want to get these grass yearling bought while they are available. Cash fed cattle sales continue to hold in the mid 140s, and much higher Live Cattle futures for the coming winter months is helping to support the feeder cattle market. Rising new crop corn costs is concerning to cattle feeders however. No new crop spring born calves offered yet as grazing conditions are still good enough to keep cows and calves turned out.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
