Compared to last week: Too few feeder cattle on offer to make a meaningful price comparison. Demand moderate as cattle feeders continue to reel from a weak price structure in the Live Cattle futures and a skyrocketing corn market. Cattle producers are anxiously awaiting any moisture they can get in order to have a grazing, haying, or even a crop growing season. The entire state is in a drought condition, much of it in an extreme condition. The feeder cattle market is under a great amount of pressure due to the corn market and the death grip hold the packers have on the cash fed cattle market as they squeeze all of the profit from the industry.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
