In the hay market, demand was light, and trades remained slow to moderate. Prices were mostly steady with some downward pressure on grinding alfalfa and grass hay. Hay to purchase remains plentiful with a few folks thinking of getting rid of last year's hay before it is time for new crop. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor for the week of February 25th, with the dry conditions, moderate drought levels were expanded over southern Kansas along with additional abnormally dry conditions being shown.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Kansas barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
