Compared to last week, best test on steers over 750 lbs sold uneven; 3.00 lower to 3.00 higher. Under 750 lbs steers and under 650 lbs heifers were not well tested. Over 650 lbs heifers sold 4.00 to 6.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold steady to 3.00 higher. Demand was good. In the feedlot trade, live sales in Kansas sold 1.00 lower at 186.00. In the hay market, demand is light and trade activity is slow on a limited test. Few people are moving hay this week as producers continue planting, swathing, and spraying across the state. Still no signs of new crop pricing, as folks try to clear their barns of last season's hay. In Kansas, moderate to heavy rainfall accumulations (2 to 7+ inches) led to a reduction in areas of drought and provided a boost in soil moisture and streamflow levels.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Kansas barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
