Compared to last week, feeder steers under 600 lbs sold on a light test with a weak undertone; 600 to 700 lbs 7.00 to 8.00 lower; over 700 lbs steady to 2.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 600 lbs sold 8.00 to 9.00 lower, while those over 600 lbs sold 3.00 to 4.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold 3.00 to 6.00 lower. Demand was moderate to good. Compared to last week, fed slaughter steers and heifers in the feedyards sold steady to 1.00 lower at 137.00 to 138.00. Compared to the last report, alfalfa and grass hay price was steady on limited test, movement was slow, and no new crop pricing has been officially reported.
