Compared to last week's heavy supply, steer calves sold 5.00 to 7.00 higher and yearling steers sold unevenly steady. Heifer calves not enough for a market comparison and yearling sold 4.00 higher on comparable offerings. Slaughter steers sold 1.00 higher and heifers sold steady. Slaughter cows sold 2.00 higher except lean cows sold 3.00 lower and bull steady. Demand was good for calves and feeder cattle with moderate demand for slaughter cattle. Rain have finally stopped across the region leaving fields soaked and some under water. Farmers are having some corn sprout on the ear while soybean pods are popping and dropping beans in the dirt.
