Compared to last week steers less than 650 lbs sold 8.00 to 15.00 lower over 650 lbs sold unevenly steady. Heifers less than 650 lbs sold 8.00 to 10.00 lower and over 650 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher. Slaughter steers and heifers sold 2.00 to 3.00 lower. Breaking and boning cows sold steady to 2.00 higher with lean cows trading 6.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold steady. Demand was moderate to good for calves and feeders. That time of year in Iowa where quite a few fall calves are hitting the market. Some have been weaned for over 45 days others are right off the cow but most have had some vaccination program.
