Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 5 Colorado auction markets included: Centennial Livestock, Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand were Moderate to Good. Feeder steers under 500 lbs sold 6.00 to 12.00 lower, and over 500 lbs 3.00 to 10.00 higher. Feeder Heifers under 450 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher, 450-700 lbs mostly 9.00 lower to sharply lower, and over 700 lbs mostly 6.00 higher to sharply higher. Dairy feeder heifers over 950 lbs sold 2.00 to 3.00 lower. Average dressing slaughter cows sold unevenly steady. Average dressing slaughter bulls sold 16.00 higher on a light test. Due to the Federal Holiday, the next available report will be Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
