Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 5 Colorado auction markets included: Centennial Livestock, Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand Moderate to Good. Stock Show Specials were in full swing this week and will wrap up next week. Feeder steers under 550 lbs were lightly tested at 5.00 lower to sharply lower, 550-800 lbs sold mostly 2.00 to 6.00 lower, and over 800 lbs lightly tested bringing 7.00 to 15.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 600 lbs sold uneven on a light test and over 600 lbs sold steady to 5.00 higher. Due to the Federal Holiday, The next available report will be Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
