Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 4 Colorado auction markets included: Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Sale barns across the state are off their summer schedules and moved into fall run schedules. Feeder steers under 550 lbs sold uneven, 550-700 lbs were 6.00 lower to sharply lower, and over 700 lbs were mostly 1.00 to 5.00 lower with instances of sharply lower. Feeder heifers under 450 lbs sold 4.00 to 11.00 higher with instances of sharply higher on light calves, and heifers over 450 lbs sold 4.00 to 12.00 lower. Dairy feeder heifers 850-1000 lbs sold uneven, while dairy heifers over 1000 lbs were 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Average dressing slaughter cows and bulls traded unevenly steady.
