Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 5 Colorado auction markets included: Centennial Livestock, Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand were good to very good. Feeder steers under 700 lbs sold steady to 4.00 lower with instances of sharply lower while steers over 700 lbs traded 3.00 to 8.00 higher with instances of sharply higher. Feeder heifers under 450 lbs were 3.00 lower to sharply lower, 450-600 lbs steady to 7.00 higher, and over 600 lbs sold uneven. Feeder dairy heifers over 900 lbs sold steady to 6.00 higher. Average dressing slaughter cows sold 9.00 to 13.00 higher; average dressing slaughter bulls lightly tested selling 27.00 higher. The next available report will be Monday, March 18, 2024.
