Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 5 Colorado auction markets included: Centennial Livestock, Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand were moderate to very good. Feeder steers under 400 lbs sold 11.00 to 14.00 higher on a light test, 400-500 lbs 8.00 to 11.00 lower, and over 500 lbs mostly sharply higher. Feeder heifers under 700 lbs sold 5.00 lower to sharply lower, 700-800 lbs sharply higher, and over 800 lbs 3.00 lower to 4.00 higher. Feeder dairy heifers over 900 lbs sold 7.00 to 10.00 lower. Average dressing slaughter cows sold steady to 4.00 lower; average dressing slaughter bulls 1.00 higher. The next available report will be Monday, December 18, 2023.
