Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 2 Colorado auction markets included: Winter Livestock and La Junta Livestock. Trade activity and demand moderate to good. Bulk of auction markets closed due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Feeder steers under 600 lbs sold steady to 7.00 lower on a light test, 600-700 lbs were 4.00 to 5.00 higher for both weaned and unweaned calves with no market test on steers over 700 lbs. Feeder heifers sold uneven on a light test with no market test on heifers over 700 lbs. Average dressing slaughter cows and bulls too thinly tested for an accurate market trend. The next available report will be Monday, December 6, 2021.
