Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 5 Colorado auction markets included: Livestock Exchange, La Junta Livestock, Winter Livestock, Centennial Livestock and Sterling Livestock. Trade activity and demand good on feeder calves under 600 lbs and moderate to good on the rest of the supply. La Junta Livestock hosted a Stock Cow and Pair special Saturday along with their normal Wednesday sale, Winter Livestock held a Special Feeder Cattle Sale on Monday along with their normal Tuesday sale, and Centennial held their regular Monthly Dairy Feeder Cattle Sale along with a Thursday held special bred cow, pairs and feeder cattle sale. Feeder steers under 600 lbs traded mostly 5.00 to 12.00 higher , 600-800 lbs trade mixed ranging from 7.00 lower to 7.00 higher on a light test and no comparable trades on steers over 800 lbs. Dairy Feeder steers compared to last month under 450 lbs traded sharply higher, and over 450 lbs 3.00 to 10.00 lower on a light test. Dairy feeder heifers too lightly tested to trend. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs traded mostly 8.00 to 16.00 higher, 550-750 lbs 5.00 to 9.00 higher and over 750 lbs mixed trading 1.00 lower to 2.00 higher on a light test. In the slaughter cows and bulls supply, average dressing Breakers traded 1.00 lower, average dressing Boners 2.00 lower, average dressing Leans 2.00 lower, and average dressing bulls 1.00 lower. Middle Aged stock cows returning to feed were 2.00 lower. No comparable trades on breds and pairs in the replacement cattle supply. The next available report will be Friday, November 13, 2020.
