Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 3 Colorado auctions included: Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock and Livestock Exchange. Feeder cattle supply too lightly tested to trend with the bulk of the run comprised of yearling heifers. Slaughter cows and bulls traded moderate to good. Average dressing Breakers traded 1.00 to 2.00 higher, average dressing Boners .50 to 1.00 lower, average dressing Leans .50 to 1.00 lower, and average dressing Bulls mixed from 4.00 lower to 1.50 higher. Extreme drought conditions persist in southern Colorado, forcing cattleman to cull older pairs due to a lack of forage. The next available report will be Friday, July 24, 2020.
