Compared to the previous sale, alfalfa and alfalfa blended hays sold mostly 15.00-20.00/ton higher. Grass hays sold 25.00-50.00/ton lower. Higher quality forages that shows evidence of high RFVs and protein is in very good demand, while average quality hay is experiencing light demand. This has caused a significant spread in price based on quality within a class and the class of hay itself. Wheat straw advanced 15.00/ton compared to last week and corn stalks showed a 10.00/ton drop in price. Supplies for straw and corn fodder were moderate.
