Cooler temps for auction day brought out several buyers for this months' hay auction.
The offering consisted of, 36 percent (321) large squares, and 64 percent (578) round bales. Once math was done and tonnage prices were figured here is
how most hay worked out. Alfalfa Good 211.00 to 249.00, Good to Premium 251.00 to 297.00. Premium/Supreme 385.00. Brome Good 137.00, Good to Premium 140.00 to 172.00, Prairie hay round bales Good 74.00 to 82.00. Mixed grasses Fair 47.00, Fair to Good 88.00 to 90.00, and Good 104.00 to 124.00
The trend was higher this month on a light supply. Demand was good to very good.
