As things green up here in Southwest Missouri, much needed rain has softened the demand for forage. Compared to the last sale, the supply was lighter by 50% and the attendance on site was down by half from the previous sale. Most classes of hay sold steady with exception to the round bales of alfalfa. Out of the 60+ lots offered Saturday April 4th, over 40 lots made it into the auction from 6 surrounding states. With having 3,509 bales total in the auction, bidding was active and timely selling the offerings in 2 hours.
