As filedAfter an unusually warm start to February, we were reminded it is still winter as a cold set in for auction day. Areas to the north had several inches of snow and the auction area had snow just a few days prior to the auction, although both were short lived and didn't stick around long. This mid-month sale was 100 percent tested with all lots having an average weight along with test results published. Alfalfa and high quality grasses sold steady to firm, while there was some weakness noted on the average to lower classes of grass hay. A good sized crowd on hand once again even as the feeding season is past the halfway point and spring is approaching.
