As reported last week, auction officials again noted high demand from states effected by drought. Premium grade alfalfa, alfalfa/orchard grass small squares trading higher .30-.50. A quality offering of good grade small square hay trading steady with a higher undertone. Large square alfalfa/mixes trading higher 10.00-12.00 with good quality large rounds doing the same. Weekly offerings continue to increase as does buyer attendance and demand. Todays straw offering was met with strong demand for a light offering. Strong demand for straw is expected to continue as supplies are light.
