As filedCompared to last week: Buyer attendance was thin as harvest was continuing. Demand for good alfalfa was strong while demand for average to poor alfalfa was steady. Grass prices were weak as calf movement into the yards was limited. Hay quality overall was average with loads of poorer grass and some prevented planted hay being marketed. Straw prices were steady even though quality was lacking. Don't forget Monday sales will be starting again in November. Sale consisted of: Alfalfa 40%; Mixed Grass 34%; Sudan 9%; Alfalfa/Grass 7%; Oat Straw 4%; Wheat Straw 3%; Millet 1% Corn Stalks 1%.
