As filed

1st Hay Auction of the season this past Saturday had 978 Small Squares, 161 Large Squares, and 871 Large Rounds on the Lot! 31 Consignors, 43 bidder numbers handed out with 30 of those being winning bidders. High moisture came to Iowa at critical growing points of the hay season providing a surplus of hay for all producers. Droughts that had come the last couple of years forced producers to sell or reduce their numbers of livestock so the surplus has flooded the market at this time. This auction had over double the amount of hay on the lot for this past Saturdays Auction that we have ever had for our 1st Hay Auction of the season. There was an active floor & online bidders showing up to buy there is just ALOT of hay in the market currently. Our next hay auction will be Saturday, October 12, 2024 starting at 10am sharp. www.hplauction.com
