Following yesterday's softer board Feeders sold somewhat lower with the heavier end of the run declining sharper than the 400 weights. 5 to 6 weight Steers $15 per cwt lower, same weight Heifers $15-$20 per cwt lower. It is worth taking note of the much greater percentage of #1 muscled Calves compared to #2 shoulder Calves resulting from a wetter than average grazing season and ample pasture. However, recent dryer conditions persist in N. Central West Virginia; some producers hauling water to cattle and a declining outlook on fall pasture availability.
