Much larger run today than last week with offering of in-barn Feeders up by 600 head, Slaughter Cattle up by 30. Feeder prices following lower national trends in the face of Futures dropping as well, however, losses weren't steady across the board. 400 weight Feeder Steers steady to $5.5 per cwt higher, 5 weights $1-$6 lower and 6 weights rallying to $4-$7 higher. Feeder Heifers lower by $13 in the lighter 2/3s of the run than flattening to $5 lower on the heavy end. Light 400 lb. Feeder Bulls $6.50 higher, $11 to $13.50 lower in the rest of the run. It should be noted that Value Added Feeders coming off a long weaning and guaranteed health program sold $5-$11 per cwt higher than comparable weights without this management. Slaughter Cattle demand also decreasing; Boner type Cows lower by $3-$4 per cwt, Lean Cows $12 lower and Bulls, which had been more immune to the lowering trends, saw a slight drop of $1.50 per cwt. Heiferettes $110 to $117.50 per cwt; Baby Calves $185 to $360 per head.
