Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Second Graded Feeder Special sale following on the heels of last week's sale; lower head run by about 300 head but plenty of quality in the offering. Average attendance and very active trade. Local market on somewhat of a roller coaster ride following a much stronger futures board yesterday but with some consistency to the curve. Compared to last week, Feeder Steers sold significantly lower in the four hundred weight breaks while significantly higher in the five weights and mostly steady in the six weights. Same trend on Feeder Heifers, weaker trend on the lighter end of the run while much higher for the heavy four weights and higher by $13 per cwt in the fives before settling out lower on the heavy end of the run. No market test on Feeder Bulls but a decent run today pursued by active interest. Very wet conditions persist in N. Central WV with many producers reporting difficulty in accessing pastures and loading areas.
