Correction: 3419lb feeder bulls deleted

Active trading with very good demand today for the first Feeder Special of the grass cattle season. Moderate bordering on heavy supply of quality Feeders well backgrounded for turn out. Pastures are greening up in N. Central WV but still a few weeks until adequate grass for pasturage. In spite of this, prices for Feeder Cattle very firm viewed against comparable regional market reports. This could foreshadow stronger market trends as pasturage becomes available and competition increases between stocker backgrounders further into Spring. Not to be overlooked are steady Feeder Futures which have been on a slight rebound this week and are trending higher later in the year, shoring up confidence and increasing demand for quality turn out Feeders. Demand remains good for Slaughter Cattle, today's run was very similar to last week, prices for average Slaughter Cows slightly lower while Slaughter Bulls remained steady.
