Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Thursday, not enough stocker or feeder cattle last week for accurate trends. A higher undertone was noted on a larger offering. Feeder cattle went home $0.77 to $1.27 lower on the board. The CME Feeder Cattle Index was up by 4 cents on 1/11 to $182.36. Slaughter cows and bulls 5.00-7.00 higher. Trade active with very good demand. USDA's weekly Export Sales data had 13,328 MT of net beef sales after the unshipped 2022 bookings rolled over. The weekly data suggested the 2022 exports were a record 942k MT.
