Compared to last Thursday, stocker and feeder cattle firm. Feeder cattle futures closed 55 to 77 cents weaker on Thursday. The 12/14 CME Feeder Cattle Index was 4 cents higher to $179.50. Slaughter Cows 3.00-5.00 higher. Slaughter bulls firm. Trade active with good demand as buyers looking ahead to the short holiday schedule coming up. Weekly Export Sales data showed 10,943 MT of beef was booked during the week of 12/08. That was up from a miserable 1.6k MT last week but down from 15.4k MT during the week of 11/24 and below the 17k MT sold during the same week last year. USDA had 16,453 MT of beef exports for the week, for a yearly total of 891,679 MT. That remains 1.8% ahead of last year's previous record pace.
