Compared to last Thursday, stocker and feeder cattle firm in a light test, Buyer attendance improved this week. Feeder cattle futures were $2.32 to $2.55 higher on the day. September feeder cattle rolled off the board at $175.97. The 9/28 CME Feeder Cattle Index dropped $1.52 to $175.94. Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 lower. Slaughter bulls weak in a light test. Trade active with light to moderate demand. Weekly beef export sales were 21k MT from the week that ended 9/22. That was 41% higher on the week and was the most since 7/21. South Korea and China were the top buyers according to the report. Beef exports from the week were 18k MT for a YTD total of 701k MT.
