No trends as a winter storm came in last nite and this morning and dumped 8-13 inches of snow over the trade area. Adverse weather conditions this week affecting the movement of livestock in the trade area. Not enough of any one class for accurate trends. Bred Hfrs Reputation quality AI bred to calve mid Feb, cleaned up with 9 Mile low bw bulls to finish in March. CME Feeders are trading higher through midday with 32 to 77 cent gains. The CME Feeder Cattle Index was $162.13 on 1/04, down by 22 cents. Weekly Export Sales data showed 3,893 MT of net cancelations for 2021 beef bookings for the week that ended 12/30. 2022 bookings came in at 11.8k MT which was bumped total forward sales to 80k MT as of 12/30. Ending the 2021 year, weekly data showed a record 922,024 MT of beef was exported as of 12/30. 2021 also concluded with 156,839 MT of unshipped sales, that was 41% higher than last year’s rollover.
