Compared to last Thursday, Stocker and feeder cattle 1.00-2.00 lower in a light test. Buyer attendance light to moderate. The CME Feeder Cattle Index was 61 cents lower on 11/2 to $155.65. Slaughter cows and bulls steady to 4.00 higher. Trade active with good demand. USDA’s weekly beef Export Sales were seen at 16,722 MT. That was 13% below last week’s 14 week high. Export shipments were steady at 16.7k MT, maintaining the 15.6% lead of last year’s pace at 770k MT shipped YTD. Census data confirmed US September beef exports were a record for the month at 288.7m lbs. That was up 21% yr/yr but down 11% from the all time record in August.
