Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Thursday at the same market, not enough stocker or feeder cattle last week for accurate trends. Quality was more attractive this week with good buyer attendance. Corn prices have fallen sharply over the couple few weeks which has helped improve demand for feeder cattle. CME positions traded mostly lower today. Slaughter cows and bulls steady to firm. The cutter cow cutout continues to increase in value as retailers continue to buy ground beef for the upcoming Memorial day holiday. Trade active active with good demand.
