Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Thursday at the same market, stocker and feeder cattle steady to 2.00 higher. CME positions continue to inch higher giving buyers additional confidence in the market. Feedlots are looking for yearlings to fill lots as heavy slaughter numbers are helping clear lot space. The CME feeder cattle index was sharply higher across all 12 states as feeders are becoming aggressive as they search for offerings. Slaughter cows and bulls 2.00-7.00 higher as numbers supply during the week was reduced forcing processors to secure inventory. Trade very active with very good demand.
