Compared to last week: Weaned steer and heifer calves sold mostly 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Unweaned or short weaned calves sold mostly 2.00 to 3.00 lower. Not enough comparable sales on yearlings for a market trend. Quality was mostly plain, but recent rains and a good start to the winter wheat crop seems to have buyers feeling optimistic and in need of feeders to turn out. As a result, trading activity was moderate to active on good buyer demand. Slaughter cows sold mostly weak to 1.00 lower.
