Fat cattle traded at a record high of 255.00 last week in Texas. Steer and heifer calves were too lightly tested for a market trend. Trading activity was active on good buyer demand. Quality ranged from plain to attractive with a wide range of flesh conditions as well. The region is still very dry and in need of a rain. According to the US Drought Monitor, winter wheat in Texas was rated 56% very poor to poor on April 26 across the state, along with 45% in Oklahoma.
