Compared to last week: Feeder steers traded mostly 10.00 to 14.00 lower, which was in line with the large declines noted in the cattle futures over the past week. Feeder heifers were mostly weak to 4.00 lower, with the exception of 600 weight heifers which traded 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Quality was mostly plain to average, with the majority of the supply consisting of plainer type cattle straight off the short wheat. However, flesh conditions were mostly favorable. Slaughter cows and bulls were too lightly tested for a market trend but a lower undertone was noted.
