Compared to last week: Feeder steers traded 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Feeder heifers traded mostly steady. Steer and heifer calves were too lightly tested for a market trend but increased buyer demand was noted on lighter weight cattle with good flesh conditions that were suitable to turn out. Trading activity was active on good buyer demand. Quality was mostly attractive, with several load lots of high end type cattle and good conditioned feeding cattle on offer. Slaughter cows were too lightly tested for a market trend. Replacement cattle trended higher this week with the majority of the bred cattle and pairs returning back to the country. Hotter than average temperatures continue to be the story, with temperatures expected to reach triple digits by mid to late week.
