Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers and heifers traded mostly 15.00 to 20.00 higher, which was in line with the cattle futures as both contracts closed in the green today for the third day in a row. Steer and heifer calves traded mostly 5.00 to 7.00 higher. Trading activity was active on very good buyer demand. Not enough comparable sales on slaughter cows and bulls but a mostly steady to firm undertone was noted. The weather continues to be unseasonably warm and dry for this time of year. There's a chance for some much needed rain through the middle of the week.
