Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week: Not enough comparable sales on feeder steers or heifers for a market trend, but a higher undertone was noted. Trading activity was moderate to active on good buyer demand. Over the past two days, the trading region has recorded in excess of 2 inches of rainfall, prompting a flood watch across the entire area. As a result, market receipts were lighter, with many producers unable to deliver cattle due to impassable roads and difficult gathering conditions. Slaughter cows and bulls traded mostly steady, with the exception of high dressing cows which traded 5.00 higher.
