Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers traded mostly 3.00 to 7.00 higher, with instances of up to 10.00 higher on cattle under 700 pounds. Not enough comparable sales on steer or heifer calves for a market trend. The trend followed the big jumps noted in both the CME Feeder and Fat Cattle futures today. Slaughter cows and bulls traded mostly weak. Trading activity was active on very good buyer demand. Some much needed rain is in the forecast beginning today and out through the remainder of the week.
