Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers traded mostly 1.00 to 2.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves traded mostly 1.00 to 5.00 higher. Not enough comparable sales on slaughter cows and bulls for a market trend. Trading activity was moderate on moderate to good buyer demand. A cold front moved across the area bringing a deep freeze accompanied by negative wind chills, which shortened the trailer run today. The majority of the supply consisted of large load lots of yearlings ranging in flesh conditions.
