Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week: Feeder steers traded mostly 4.00 lower. Feeder heifers too lightly tested for a market trend. Steer and heifer calves traded mostly firm to 6.00 higher, with the most advances on weaned calves with good vaccination programs. Slaughter cows traded mostly 2.00 lower on a light test. Not enough slaughter bulls for a market trend. Trading activity was light to moderate, on moderate buyer demand. Demand was limited for un-weaned or short weaned calves with limited vaccinations, as the weather and temperatures typically have large swings this time of year.
