As filed

Compared to last week: Not enough comparable sales on feeder steers but a higher undertone was noted. Feeder heifers traded mostly 3.00 to 4.00 higher, with instances of up to 6.00 to 7.00 higher on the plainer cattle. Slaughter cows and bulls traded 4.00 to 5.00 higher, on very good buyer demand. Quality was mostly plain to attractive with the majority of the supply consisting of load lots of yearlings off the graze out wheat or short grass. The Northern and Eastern counties have received some recent rains ranging from a few tenths to over 2 inches. The Western and Central Panhandle have missed most of the recent rains.
