Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to two weeks ago: Not enough comparable sales from the light test two weeks ago, but a much higher undertone was noted on both feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows and bulls traded mostly 5.00 higher. A nice string of bred cows and cow calf pairs were on offer. Quality was very attractive, with the majority of the supply consisting of load lots of cattle straight off the wheat. According to the US Drought Monitor, the majority of the state had abundant precipitation during the week with many areas recording over 200 percent of normal rain. As a results, pastures have recovered across the majority of the trading region.
