Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers traded mostly 5.00 lower. Feeder heifers sold mostly firm to 1.00 higher on a light test. According to the cattle report, cattle movements were largely impacted by the weather and many of the implications will not be known for days or in some cases weeks. As temperatures warm, cattle owners will mainly be interested in the welfare of the cattle and attempting to restore animals to their prior state. As a result, receipts were light this week across the majority of the trading region. The barn is expecting numbers to get back to normal next week. Trading activity was moderate to active on moderate demand.
