Compared to last week: There were few comparable sales due to last weeks short run. A lower undertone was noted though, following with a weaker board. However; there was a good offering of better quality cattle this week. In spite of a down market, trade remained active on good demand. Long weaned cattle dominate demand over bawlers and cattle weaned less than forty-five days. Average to high yielding slaughter cows sold steady to 4.00 higher. Bulls brought 6.00-8.00 higher. Cooler temperatures and a well needed rain came to the area last week. With it, came the first green grass since fall. Wheat is starting to peak up some as well, hopefully giving a sign of better things to come.
